Spring has arrived..

The rain really helped wash away some of the nasty yellow tree pollen. My eyes do not feel like they are lined with sand paper or glue, today. My ears are still plugged, though. Wish I was traveling through the Rocky Mountains, to feel this way. :)
The SD Card reader, in my 6 month old laptop, has given up. I must say, that was the best part of this machine, too. The PRICE of this machine sold me.. I wonder if Dell will want my whole machine, in any capacity, to fix it, under warranty.. I don't know if I'm willing to go THAT far to have it fixed. I do have a USB card reader.. Buying a back-up, to that, would be more tolerable than giving my machine to Dell, for any period of time. They probably know that, eh? Conspiracy, I say!
As I type this, I'm enjoying some yummy La Tur cheese, on dates. This is truly a heavenly snack. I'd really like someone to squeeze me a cup of lemon or lime juice, so I can make some lemonade. That would round out this Sunday, so nice! I have some gorgeous lemons, from the Ladson Flea Market, in the fridge.
My eldest daughter called, yesterday, to get my Oatmeal Pancakes Recipe. I wish my mom replied, "its in my blog," when I asked her questions. *smile*
We had a discussion about buttermilk.. Life has not been the same since I learned to buy Whole Buttermilk. The other "stuff" just won't cut it, for me, again. My last batch, of these pancakes, was made with oats that had soaked for four days. They were just as good!
I've been a reading fool, lately. I'm trying to discipline myself to read more than one book at one time.. I'm a big "don't put it down, til its done" kind of reader.. but I'm trying to change that. I finished "A Return to Love," last night. What a wonderful book. I love the way it moved my soul, from page to page.
I picked up "The Age of Miracles," the other day, at B&N, and found "The Gift of Change" on paperbackswap, too! I think I'd really like to check out many of Marianne Williamson's other books, too.
Don't forget next weekend is the Flowertown Festival. Get your corndog on! *giggle*
I really enjoyed the Palmetto Acoustic Series performances, at Muddy Waters, last week. I find myself singing, "Hey Baby.." quite often now.. I look forward to many more Thursdays, at Muddy Waters.
The kids and I ventured to King Street. I learned that you haven't lived, in Charleston, until you have experienced King Street.
We survived. Heh.
There is, a lot, going on, in The LowCountry, in April. Grab me and say, "hello."
Have a great CarolinaDreamz week! :)
